Groove Tunes Artist Profile: Kate Coleman

A few years ago, Groove Tunes Studios sponsored and judged a multi-week talent contest at a local tavern. Kate Coleman and hubby Corey Coleman, new to Atlanta after placing at a talent show in Nashville, won first place at my event.  

From there they came to Groove Tunes to record a Christmas song, inviting lots of local talent to contribute as backup singers. Shortly after that, we produced a radio ad with them for a local car dealership.  

Kate has been performing professionally since 2011. In April 2018, Kate performed on 11 Alive's Atlanta & Co. show to plug the release of her first solo album, “The Past.” In the fall of 2018, I saw Kate performing with Gail Burnett at the Wire and Wood Alpharetta Songwriters Festival. Most recently Kate and Corey have been performing with the band HighBeams at Atlanta-area venues.

Kate is a great example of how talent and hard work together can open doors. We’re proud that Groove Tunes Studio was a stepping stone along the way to her success. Kate and Corey summed up their experience at our studios in the following review:
